Support Worker Role

Sunnyfield is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live independently and joyfully.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves working as part of a dynamic team in Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses across the Northern Beaches. As a Support Worker, you will provide 24-hour support to clients, promoting their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting clients to develop and maintain independence
  • Delivering personalised support including mealtimes, personal care, administering medication, and safe manual handling
  • Transporting clients in wheelchair-accessible vans and pool cars, and supporting community access and activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of client progress and reporting on any changes or concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • A big heart, patience, and a sense of humour
  • Flexibility to work across a 24-hour roster
  • A driver's licence
