Support Worker: Empowering Independence and Choice

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in providing vital aged care, disability, and support services under the Consumer Directed Care model.

About the Role

In this role, you'll assist individuals who are aged, frail, or disabled—whether living at home or in a Residential Aged Care facility—with personal care, cleaning, meal preparation, transport, and social support.

  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry

You'll work autonomously and collaboratively with consumers, their families, and health professionals to deliver quality care that respects consumer preferences, including their control over shifts, duties, and service providers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current driver's license and willingness to drive
  • A current police clearance
  • Contactability by telephone
  • Access to a reliable, registered, and insured motor vehicle
  • Meet immunisation requirements as outlined by the Immunisation Guidelines for Health Care Workers in South Australia 2014
