About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Business Partner to join our team at MMG Australia's Rosebery operations. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our business by providing strategic HR advice and guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including union representatives and other third-party organizations.
  • Provide operational HR and employee relations advice on matters related to employment terms and conditions, including employment legislation and industrial instruments.
  • Coach leaders on change management, culture, and communication initiatives to drive business outcomes.
  • Engage with operations and functional leadership teams to leverage systems and processes to enhance workforce productivity.
  • Assist leaders in managing employee grievances and discipline issues in accordance with MMG standards and procedures.
  • Support the performance management process, including setting SMART objectives, providing resources, measuring and appraising performance, and case management.
  • Maintain employee records and provide advice and support to managers, supervisors, and employees on MMG's remuneration system.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, ER, IR, or a business-related field (preferred).
  • HR Business Partner experience in a site-based role working in a mining company.
  • Experience interpreting and negotiating Enterprise Agreements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills with the ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams of professionals.
  • High-level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement strategies and improvements.
  • Understanding of the application of Industrial Relations framework and legislation.
