Job Title: Human Resource Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join our team at MMG Australia's Rosebery Mine. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational needs of our business, providing expert advice and guidance on HR-related matters, and driving the execution of HR initiatives to align with our company's goals.

About the Role:
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including management, employees, and union representatives.
  • Provide operational HR and employee relations advice on matters related to employment terms and conditions, including employment legislation and industrial instruments/awards.
  • Coach leaders on change management, culture, and communication initiatives to enhance workforce productivity and engagement.
  • Actively engage with Operations and Functional Leadership Teams to leverage systems and processes to improve workforce productivity.
  • Assist leaders in ensuring that all employee grievances and discipline issues are managed in accordance with MMG standards and procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Assist line management with the phases of the performance management process, including setting SMART objectives, providing resources, measuring and appraising performance, and development and case management.
  • Assist with maintaining employee records and providing advice and support to managers, supervisors, and employees on the key principles of MMG's remuneration system.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in HR/ER/IR or a business-related field (preferred).
  • HR Business Partner experience in a site-based role working in a mining company.
  • Experience interpreting and negotiating Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience liaising with Union and other third-party organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills with the ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams of professionals to achieve operational and business targets.
  • High level of conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement strategies and improvements.
  • Understanding of the application of Industrial Relations framework and legislation.
