Job Title: Human Resource Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join our team at MMG Rosebery. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational needs of our mine site.

About the Role

The Human Resource Business Partner will provide strategic HR support to the Rosebery Mine, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retain talent. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing operational HR and employee relations advice, and coaching leaders on change management, culture, and communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide operational HR and employee relations advice on matters relating to sourcing approaches, employment terms and conditions, and employment legislation
  • Coach leaders on change management, culture, and communication initiatives
  • Actively engage with Operations and Functional Leadership Teams to leverage systems and processes to enhance workforce productivity
  • Assist leaders in ensuring that all employee grievance and discipline issues are managed per MMG standards and procedures and legislative requirements
  • Assist line management with the phases of the performance management process, including setting agreed SMART objectives, providing resources, measuring and appraising performance development, and case management
  • Assist with maintaining employee records
  • Provide advice and support to managers, supervisors, and employees on the key principles of MMG's remuneration system
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
  • Tertiary qualification in HR/ER/IR or business-related field (preferred)
  • HR Business Partner experience in a site-based role working in a mining company
  • Experience interpreting and negotiating Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience liaising with Union and other third-party organisations
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills with the ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams of professionals to achieve operational and business targets
  • High level of conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement strategies and improvements
  • Understanding of the application of Industrial Relations framework and legislation
