Nursing Director

The Division of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nursing Director to join their team in the Digestive Health, Infection Management and Palliative Care department.
This is a permanent full-time position that will provide strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the reporting units, including Ward 4 E, Ward 5 D, 5 D Outpatients, Endoscopy Unit, Gastroenterology Ambulatory Services, Hepatology, Infection Control, Sexual Health, Vascular Access Surveillance Team, and Metro South Palliative Care Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safe, compassionate care, integrating the Nursing and Midwifery Services, which may include Professional Practice Model, quality frameworks, Magnet and Person-Centred Care approaches of caring for each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical care needs to achieve best clinical practice and individualized person-centred care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement in relation to clinical and corporate governance contemporary directions.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of the nursing strategy and vision for the organization.
