About the Role

Aussie Broadband is revolutionizing the telecommunications industry, and we're seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will drive the development and execution of strategic projects to fuel our growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the PMO strategy in alignment with our organisational goals.
  • Ensure project portfolios are aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the delivery of projects from design to implementation, ensuring completion within timescales and budget.
  • Lead our EPMO team, embedding our ways of working and providing leadership across strategic planning, prioritisation, and reporting framework.
  • Establish and enforce project management standards, processes, and methodologies.
  • Implement project governance structures and ensure compliance with project management standards.
  • Provide oversight and support for major projects and programs.
  • Monitor project performance, tracking key metrics, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a resource management plan to address capacity and skill gaps.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the PMO team, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Create an environment that supports the development, launch, and maintenance of innovative products and services.
  • Participate actively in the Senior Leadership Team to achieve collective objectives and collaborate across teams.
  • Prepare and present reports on project and PMO performance to the Executive Leadership Team.

Requirements
  • A strong understanding of the telco industry.
  • Deep knowledge and demonstrated experience of leading strategic projects across a complex and fast-paced business.
  • Experience leading an Enterprise Project Management Office ideally within a telco or technology function.
  • Expertise in best practice and industry-leading project management methodologies and principles, including agile delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience of strong leadership and influencing skills at a senior level.
  • Experience in process/systems improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think like a leader while working as part of a team.
