Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead a team of rail planning professionals in delivering strategic rail planning projects, focusing on the Queensland market.
- Business Development: Identify and shape opportunities related to strategic rail planning, develop action plans to win work, and lead bids for public and private clients.
- Team Management: Guide the performance of the team to meet client outcomes, deliver tangible benefits, and maintain profitability.
- Collaboration: Interface closely with our Queensland advisory, planning, and mobility teams to identify wider collaboration opportunities to support our rail and transport clients.
- Staff Development: Support and mentor staff to undertake development activities, helping them realize their potential.
- Safety Culture: Lead and foster a good safety culture to ensure the safety and well-being of all staff.
- Commercial Performance: Contribute to reaching the targets of our national Strategic Rail Planning Strategy, from a Queensland perspective.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent. Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years' relevant post-graduate experience in leading rail planning projects, especially at the strategic level.
- Skills: Deep knowledge and experience in business case development process in Australia, especially in Queensland. Well-connected to rail professionals in Queensland, especially with decision-makers from governmental organizations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines in a dynamic environment.
