About the Role

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer. As a high-profile position, the CEO will be responsible for the strategic leadership and ambitious infrastructure investment agenda of the VSBA.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned executive leader to drive performance and achieve success through cohesive, high-performing teams within the VSBA. The successful candidate will have a track record of leading successful delivery in infrastructure or other relevant fields and will be well-respected for their experience in setting strategic direction, navigating complex challenges, and strong relationship management.

About the Organisation

The VSBA is a highly credible State Government Authority, established and operating within the Victorian Department of Education since 2016. With a combined asset and land value of nearly $49.4 billion, the VSBA has an ambitious agenda to provide world-class educational facilities to support a great education for every child and young person.

The VSBA is at the forefront of cutting-edge school and early childhood design, development, and construction innovation, unifying policy and delivery, supporting Victoria as the Education State. With a combined operating and capital budget of $3.7 billion, the VSBA is committed to delivering on Government investment of $16.9 billion to deliver more than 2,000 school upgrades and open 100 new schools by 2026.

In addition, the Government's nation-leading Best State Best Life reforms place the VSBA as the lead for building and expanding hundreds of kindergartens across the state, including 50 new government-owned and operated early learning and childcare centres opening between 2025 and 2032.

As a contemporary and visionary leader, you are well-respected for your experience in setting strategic direction, navigating complex challenges, and strong relationship management. You have a track record of leading successful delivery in infrastructure or other relevant fields and are excited at the challenge that this role demands.

What We Offer

The VSBA offers a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $250,000 to $350,000, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to work with a highly credible State Government Authority and be part of a dynamic leadership team that is shaping the future of education in Victoria.
