Strategic Director for Vocational Education and Skills Assessment

Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead its VETASSESS division, Australia's leading authority in qualifications and skills assessment.
About the RoleThis strategic leadership position will play a pivotal role in driving growth and service excellence in local, interstate, and international markets. As the Executive Director, you will lead strategy development and execution, ensuring compliance with enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership capability, exceptional communication skills, and strong commercial and business acumen. They will have a track record of leading change, building high-performance cultures, and leveraging creative problem-solving skills to influence outcomes and efficiency improvements in complex operating environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with BKI colleagues, build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and drive financial sustainability and business growth.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to enhance service excellence and drive growth in local, interstate, and international markets.
- Lead a team of up to 150 professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with enterprise-wide policies and governance frameworks.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government organisations, industry partners, and education providers.
- Drive financial sustainability and business growth through effective resource management and strategic partnerships.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A deep understanding of vocational education and training, as well as qualifications and skills assessment.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with a track record of driving growth and improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with a focus on financial sustainability and business growth.
