Job Title:

Data Centre Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented technician to support day-to-day operations in our AI data centre. This role is responsible for providing on-site technical support, including hardware installations, troubleshooting, cable management, and responding to remote requests from production support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform server and network device deployments, removals and upgrades, while maintaining accurate documentation of all work completed.
  • Manage power and network cabling ensuring best practices for labelling and configuration.
  • Assist with hardware and connectivity issue resolution.
  • Act as on-site engineer (Smart Hands support) including executing tasks at the request of remote engineers, documenting work and utilising asset tracking tools.
  • Monitor and respond to environmental system alerts.
  • Support inventory management, parts logistics and site audits.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in data centre, IT support or similar technical role.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and server hardware components.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
