The Data Centre Global Engineering Operations organisation is looking for an individual with proven and tested leadership skills to bring the newly developed Facilities Operations Centre (FOC) to fruition. The FOC oversees 24X7 monitoring of data centre physical infrastructure and serves as a facilitator for Large Scale Events (LSEs) and Critical Site Events (CSEs).

This role will also serve as a central monitoring location for facility electrical and mechanical systems. The team ensures optimal customer experience through consistency, reliability, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate should have an understanding of data centre IT infrastructure and facilities infrastructure, as well as how these entities co-exist. The successful candidate will provide assistance and support to the onsite team.

To ensure overall availability and reliability, meeting or exceeding defined service levels is crucial. Qualified candidates must have experience working in large-scale data centres and demonstrated ability to think outside the box.

  • Assist in developing communication and escalation protocols to enhance team performance
  • Contribute to outage post mortem analysis
  • Ensure timely record updates
  • Coordinate and communicate during emergency recovery efforts
