Job Summary

A Facilities Operations Centre (FOC) Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operational integrity of data centre facilities. The role involves collaborating with diverse teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and providing seamless capacity to clients at minimal cost.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data centre infrastructure, including IT and facilities management systems. They will be responsible for providing support to onsite personnel, ensuring optimal availability and reliability in line with defined service standards.

  • Monitor the Amazon data centre platform for any issues or anomalies.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external teams, facilitating communication and escalation procedures.
  • Assist in the development of protocols to enhance team performance.
  • Participate in post-mortem analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with teams during emergency recovery efforts.
  • Develop tools to optimize team efficiency.

This role requires strong interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as experience working with Building and/or Electrical Platform Management Systems. Ability to implement proactive issue detection and reporting tools to meet SLAs is essential.
