Career Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced DMS Administration and Business Support Officer to join our Information Management Services Branch. This is a fixed term opportunity for 6 months with the possibility for extension and/or permanency.

About the Role

The successful candidate will form part of a dynamic team responsible for first level help desk support and second level technical support for the document management systems (DMS) managed by the branch. The role also provides systems maintenance, auditing, testing, security access, monitoring and configuration services to support business capacity and continuity of service, including data quality and integrity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical expertise and ensuring that DMS systems meet the needs of the organisation. You will work collaboratively with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing technical assistance and support to staff regarding DMS usage and troubleshooting;
  • Maintaining and upgrading DMS systems to ensure they remain secure and up-to-date;
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to DMS usage and management;
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:
  • A relevant degree in a field such as computer science, information technology, or a related field; and/or
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government agency or large organisation; and/or
  • Demonstrated experience working with DMS systems and strong technical skills.
