Management Accountant

Micromine, a leading multinational business in the mining software industry, is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join their team in Perth, Australia.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the financial health of the organization by preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as providing insightful analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statements) as per the month-end timetable, providing commentary on variances to budget and forecast.
- Conduct variance analysis on actuals vs. budgets and forecast for revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
- Collaborate with the sales department to ensure timely approval, fulfillment, and billing of sales orders.
- Work closely with the licensing department to ensure accurate accounting treatment of software sales, including services and training, and deferred revenue.
- Ensure timely collection of debtors' receipts.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet items.
- Develop yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in management accounting and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key qualifications and skills include:
- Experience in accounting or business administration, with a focus on management accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in NetSuite software or similar.
- Organized, efficient, and strong attention to detail.
