Key Commercial Finance Role

We are seeking a skilled finance professional to join our Editorial business. As a vital partner to our newsrooms, you will provide strategic financial expertise to support the creation of Australia's best journalism.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key finance advisor to editorial leaders, providing clear financial insights and guidance.
  • Manage and control all editorial cost bases, focusing on staff and content-related expenses.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or CA/CPA qualification.
  • Proven business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and translate complex financial concepts into actionable advice.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders and negotiate solutions.
  • Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
