This role is part of the Strategy & Business Case team within the commercial operations division.

About the Team :

The commercial operations team develops and implements business strategies, analyzes market trends, secures funding, and fosters innovation to shape the future of NSW residents' services and ensure long-term success.

The primary purpose of this role is to lead financial analysis of strategic programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and maximizing stakeholder and customer value to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a team of analysts to deliver financial analyses for business case submissions and funding proposals.">
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to prepare reports on proposal affordability and funding implications.">
  • Provide consolidated financial reports ensuring consistency and compliance with treasury guidelines.">
  • Manage project timelines to meet reporting obligations to stakeholders.">
  • Collaborate with teams to apply best practices and deliver measurable outcomes.">
  • Support the development of robust business cases and proposals for approval and implementation.">
  • Mentor and develop team capabilities, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.">
  • Manage relationships to ensure alignment with legislative and customer expectations.">

To be Successful in This Role You Will Have :

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or equivalent, including accreditation.">
  • Extensive experience leading financial modeling in large organizations.">
  • Experience in business case development, financial modeling, and cost-benefit analysis.">
  • Strong financial knowledge and analytical skills, capable of generating actionable insights.">
  • Excellent reporting, presentation, and communication skills.">
  • Strategic thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to influence strategy through collaboration and data-driven decisions.">
