Job Description

The role of Chief Financial Strategist plays a pivotal leadership position in driving the financial sustainability of the organization. This full-time position reports directly to the Principal through the Director of Business and is an integral member of the Principal's Advisory Group and Leadership Team.

As a strategic finance leader, the Chief Financial Strategist works closely with the Director of Business, Financial Controller, and broader Finance team to ensure strong systems, compliance, and financial insight across all finance and audit activities.

This role encompasses robust internal controls, forward planning, and business sustainability. It includes preparing strategic advice, managing complex budgets and capital projects, and providing high-level reporting to the Principal and Board.

The Chief Financial Strategist also contributes to School-wide planning, risk mitigation, and operational oversight as a visible and collaborative leader.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a tertiary accounting qualification and CPA or CA status
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in senior finance roles within complex organizations
  • Show strong financial management, analysis, and reporting capabilities
  • Possess a deep understanding of compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements
  • Exhibit excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Demonstrate proven leadership in managing teams and fostering a high-performance culture
