Family Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Family Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building capacity of families through focused support using our holistic approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted, flexible supports utilizing our best-practice framework.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders such as local community supports.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, including timely data entry into our client management system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Recognized training and/or qualification in Community Services.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of working within the community services sector.
  • Able to demonstrate experience working with children/young people and families in a trauma-informed way.
  • Demonstrated knowledge understanding of the impact of family violence, alcohol abuse, and mental health issues.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and dependability with solid organizational skills.
