Intake Case Worker

Supporting Recovery
The Benevolent Society is seeking a highly skilled Intake Case Worker to join our Supporting Recovery Local Care Team (LCT). As the first point of contact for clients who have experienced family and domestic violence, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality case management and referral pathways.
About the Role
- Undertake initial assessments and provide case management support to clients who have experienced trauma.
- Develop and maintain database of referral pathways for clients who may not meet eligibility criteria.
- Review Supporting Recovery LCT email daily to check for new referrals and ensure timely allocation.
- Represent the organisation at inter-agency meetings and events.
Requirements
- Qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, or related discipline with at least 2 years of case management experience.
- Experience supporting families affected by trauma, domestic violence, childhood sexual assault, and mental health.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and goal-focused approach.
- Clear understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
