Expert Perinatal Mental Health Clinical Lead

This is a senior clinical role for a Registered Nurse with expertise in perinatal mental health, working in a permanent capacity within the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Unit (PIIU).
About the Clinical RoleThe Clinical Nursing Specialist position is responsible for delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented nursing practice and service delivery for mothers, their infants, and their families/carers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based, high-standard nursing care to patients and families during crisis and transition periods of mental illness.
- Support, supervise, mentor, and coach enrolled nurses in delivering holistic nursing care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient outcomes under the direction of the ANM and Nurse Manager.
You will be a registered nurse with a strong commitment to teamwork, respect, and collaboration. Your provision of nursing care should be evidence-based, of a high standard, and focused on recovery-oriented nursing practice and service delivery.
You will also be motivated to support, supervise, mentor, and coach the nursing workforce within the PIIU and model nursing excellence.
Professional Requirements- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
- A sole qualification in Mental Health Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing qualification with an academic postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing.
- 12 months full-time acute mental health nursing experience or completion of a mental health nursing graduate program.
