Perinatal and infant mental health clinicians play a crucial role in providing specialist care to families during the perinatal period. As a member of our team, you will be part of a dedicated unit working alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver education, consultation, and supervision services.

This role requires an individual with expertise in assessing and treating primary caregivers and infants with mental health problems. You will respond to families where there is an identified primary caregiver with an adult mental illness, attachment difficulties between the infant and primary caregiver, high risk for psychological and emotional problems, or compromised infant development.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional who can provide best patient-centered care to mothers and infants in the antenatal and postnatal periods. This involves coordination of care for clients of the integrated perinatal & infant mental health team.

A successful candidate will have qualified and accomplished experience in mental health, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional care in this specialized field. They will be stimulated, fulfilled, and rewarded by contributing to the well-being of families in need.

Mental health clinicians must possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and cultural awareness when working with diverse client groups. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for prioritizing tasks and managing multiple caseloads effectively. Additionally, proficiency in clinical assessment tools and interventions is necessary for delivering evidence-based practice. The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated to promoting positive outcomes for patients and their families.

Our organization offers a supportive culture, opportunities for professional growth, and a competitive compensation package. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing the importance of equal employment opportunity.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Fully registered allied health practitioner or registered nurse with a specialization in mental health
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work)
  • Proven experience in assessing and treating individuals with mental health issues
  • Strong clinical and communication skills

We offer:

  • A dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional development
  • A competitive salary package with benefits
  • A supportive team culture that values diversity and inclusion
