Lifestyle Coordinator Position

">Opportunity to Enhance Resident Lifestyle

A key member of the care team is required to provide essential lifestyle, social, and wellbeing services for residents in our aged care facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
  • Assisting in the design, delivery, and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities
  • Implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents, involving the wider community, volunteers, and residents' family and friends where possible
  • Providing direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting
  • Supporting peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
  • Working in a safe manner to protect oneself, colleagues, and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To succeed in this role, one will need:

  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • Reliability and commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
