We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced structures professional to lead our Brisbane-based team.

This pivotal role involves managing projects, developing the future work pipeline, interfacing with key clients, conducting business development activities, and mentoring a team.

  • Lead the Brisbane Structures team in delivering high-quality projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business
  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers
  • Interface with key clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions
  • Conduct business development activities to identify new opportunities

About the Role:

This is a leadership opportunity with our Brisbane Structures team, requiring strong leadership skills, significant engineering design experience, and the ability to mentor and develop a team.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Chartered membership (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia, and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status.

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Ideal 15+ years demonstrated experience in structural engineering
  • Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level of project design and commercial outcomes for projects
  • Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects, and communicating with clients
  • An innovative and out-of-the-box attitude to solutions and designs
  • Ability to critically assess and review designs by others
  • Ability to develop own team and client base
