Senior Structural Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled structural engineer to join our team in Mackay, Queensland.

About the Role:

  • This is a site and design office-based role that requires fit, energetic and keen individuals who are actively involved in site-based inspections as well as office-based engineering.
  • You will oversee and provide structural engineering support to maintenance crews and engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering (RPEQ or CPEng required)
  • Structural steel & concrete design and inspection experience
  • Ability to assess & make engineering judgment decisions
  • Provide expert advice to site engineering & maintenance teams
  • Ability to manage and delegate work to the structural team
  • Inspection of heavy structures & large materials handling machines
  • Solid knowledge of steel, concrete, wind & materials handling codes
  • Well-developed report writing, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
