Structural Engineer Position

As a seasoned Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and innovative structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity. This may include architecturally designed houses, estate development of units/townhouses, and associated facilities such as community centers, gymnasiums, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex structural designs and documentation within budget and delivery timeframe.
  • Run projects from concept design to construction with support from experienced BE teams.
  • Assist in client management with existing clients and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop junior engineers within the team in alignment with company goals, procedures, and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • 1-3 years post-grad structural design experience in residential or building industry.
  • Experience in design of residential/low rise structural buildings.
  • Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit, Inducta (advantageous), RAPT (advantageous).

  • Ability to build rapport with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Advanced ability to interpret requirements of Australian standards and building codes, design in accordance with AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC etc.
