Job Description

This role provides advanced clinical leadership and expertise relevant to Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). It involves providing guidance on compliance of infrastructure to support this process, including maintenance of AS5369 Standard across all departments.

The successful candidate will have the ability to drive adherence to best practices and infection prevention standards within CQHHS.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and expertise related to Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices.
  • Ensure effective implementation of processes and infrastructure that meet AS5369 Standard requirements.
  • Drive adherence to industry best practices and infection prevention standards.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current nursing registration through AHPRA.
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation from an approved training organisation.
  • Endoscopy reprocessing training or willingness to complete upon commencement.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from an approved training organisation.
  • Extensive experience in Infection Prevention and Control senior nursing roles.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Credentialed status with the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Working knowledge of software used in clinical environments.
