Internal Communications Specialist

About the role
We are seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to join our Customer Experience (CX) team at Ipswich City Council. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for all internal and external engagement activity for the CX Program of Work.
The successful candidate will have expertise in both internal and external communications, with a focus on connecting the organisation with projects planned and currently underway. Your responsibilities will include developing project communication plans, events, and activities in partnership with the team.
You will provide specialist advice on matters relating to communication techniques and mechanisms, as well as developing and delivering internal communications. Additionally, you will tap into the internal and external communications networks within council and disseminate information to stakeholder groups of all levels.
The role requires the ability to multitask and prioritise disparate project deadlines, along with CX BAU work. You will also need to demonstrate a passion for customer-centric thinking and improvements, as well as a commitment to our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership.
About the position
This is a 12-month fixed-term position, Level 5, with an estimated salary range of $93,169 - $114,113 per annum, plus 12.5% superannuation.
