Corporate Communications Officer

Eden Ritchie is seeking a Corporate Communications Officer to plan, execute, regulate and measure the effectiveness of the organisation’s internal communication activities and deliver products and services that reflect the organisation’s values and corporate priorities. This position reports directly to the Manager of Communications and Engagement.
- 6 months with possible extension

**As the Corporate Communications Officer, your key responsibilities will include**:
- Provide specialist advice on matters relating to communication techniques and mechanisms and develop and deliver internal communications to maximise the impact and value of organisation projects and initiatives.
- Support the development of communications strategies, plans, events and activities for organisational projects and programs.
- Prepare, review and deliver communications material using a variety of communication channels targeted to audience requirements.
- Provide direction in the evaluation of communication effectiveness.
- Develop and manage an internal communications network across all organisation departments to ensure appropriate dissemination of information to stakeholder groups.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, including appropriate recommendations, to senior management, committees, panels, boards and organisation.
- Ensure that organisation’s values are used with consistency to maximise the effectiveness of all communication strategies.
- Perform any other duties that are reasonably within the competency, skills and training of incumbent as may be directed from time to time by the position’s supervisor.
**The successful applicant will demonstrate**:
- Applied knowledge and understanding of communications principles and concepts gained in a government or similarly regulated context.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing fit for purpose communications relevant to stakeholders of organisational projects.
- Interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver creative and innovative solutions to improve organisational communication.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, work autonomously, and collaborate with other specialists using initiative and working to tight timelines.
**Mandatory**:
- Tertiary qualification in Communication or a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience to carry out the range of duties required.
