Job Title: Strategic Training Leader

Executive Level 1 is the highest leadership level in our organization, with a focus on enabling access to quality skills and training services.

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations plays a vital role in supporting Australians find secure work in fair, productive and safe workplaces - this includes support for individuals and our nation to prosper.

This position is responsible for:

  • Managing delivery of Apprenticeship and Skills for Education and Employment contracts for NSW and ACT.
  • Leading responsive and flexible teams to deliver outcomes for Australian Apprentices and clients who need literacy and numeracy improvement.
  • Relationship and stakeholder management, business development, local project development, policy interpretation, problem solving, complaints management, delivery of incentive programs and government initiatives focused on apprenticeships and literacy and numeracy.
  • Transitioning providers for both Apprenticeship and Skills for Education and Employment programs.
  • Supporting Apprenticeship and Skills for Education and Employment Providers to deliver quality services and outcomes, contractual requirements and departmental expectations.
