Automotive Technical Leadership Opportunity

This role encompasses strategic leadership of a team responsible for adapting Canonical's products to meet automotive and industrial requirements.

A key responsibility is collaborating with Product Management to refine the vision and strategy for the automotive division. Additionally, defining and executing an engineering roadmap for the automotive team at Canonical is essential.

  • Main responsibilities include leading a globally distributed team of engineers, guiding their work, and developing their skills through coaching and feedback.
  • Representing Ubuntu and Canonical in the automotive community, engaging with customers, partners, and consortia is also vital.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering, Linux, and open-source technologies. Familiarity with automotive and industry standards such as ISO21434, ISO26262, SOTIF, IEC 65108, is highly desirable. Prior experience leading product development initiatives that adhered to these standards is beneficial.
