Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a maritime technical leader to join our engineering and marine team in Brisbane.

This leadership role focuses on developing a pipeline of work aligned with the company's business strategy, overseeing and delivering projects that meet client expectations, and demonstrating technical expertise across the region and beyond.

As a technical director, you will engage with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners across diverse maritime projects, including defense, ports authorities, oil & gas, renewable energy, and international aid initiatives.

You will be responsible for managing project teams, mentoring less experienced members, leading proposal development, contributing to business growth activities, and collaborating with international colleagues.

  • Proven experience in leading maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Approximately 15-20 years of professional experience in planning, assessment, analysis, design, and remediation of maritime structures (e.g. wharves, jetties, ship lifts, pontoons, seawalls, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering large projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant standards and industry best practices.
  • Experience with identifying/pursuing opportunities and building relationships with clients to drive growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering with relevant registration/ chartership (RPEQ/CPEng).
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance is preferred.
