About the Role

Cultivating Community is a pioneering not-for-profit social enterprise with 25 years of impact in food systems, community gardens, and employment pathways. We are seeking an experienced CEO or senior executive to lead our organisation forward.

  • Champion the organisation's story and purpose, strengthening its profile and influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Inspire and lead a diverse team, modelling a culture of empathy, respect, and safety.
  • Innovate boldly, identifying unconventional funding opportunities that align with community needs.
Requirements

This role will suit an experienced CEO or senior executive with deep NFP/philanthropy expertise and stakeholder influence. You will bring:

  • Demonstrated success in business development, partnerships, and income diversification.
  • A passion for food systems, agriculture, or sustainability
  • Experience in community-based programming
  • Proven senior leadership experience, with the ability to engage boards, inspire teams, and deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Financial literacy, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
  • An empathetic, people-first style and proven ability to lead with authenticity.
  • A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and community impact.
