About the Opportunity

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their People & Culture team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

This rewarding opportunity will see you drive and proactively support the Health and Safety (H&S) programs, systems, and risks associated with operations for employees, patients, and visitors of Latrobe Regional Health (LRH).

The successful candidate will ensure that occupational health and safety policies, procedures, activities, and functions promote the achievement of organisational objectives and strategies that comply with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement H&S policies, procedures, and risk management plans aligned with LRH's strategic objectives.
  • To conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • To collaborate with stakeholders to promote a positive and engaged safety culture throughout the organisation.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports related to H&S performance and compliance.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or a required field.
  • Broad experience in H&S legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A proactive and innovative working style, coupled with sound customer service, administration, and relationship-building skills.

Estimated Salary: $46.99 per hour, approximately $97,000 per annum based on a 38-hour week.
