Rural Speech Pathologist Professional Opportunity

Located in the picturesque Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, this role presents a unique chance to contribute to the health and wellbeing of regional communities. As a Speech Pathologist with our team, you will play a vital role in delivering clinical services to adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will work predominantly using a multi-disciplinary model delivering client-centred care, developing skills in communication including speech, language, and fluency, as well as supporting clients to access AAC to meet their communication needs.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in paediatric feeding, working as part of a multi-disciplinary feeding team, servicing children aged 0 to 4 years, prior to school entry, and addressing the health and medical needs of children aged 0 to 18 years.
Working with adults, you will have the opportunity to develop your dysphagia management and adult communication (speech, language, and voice) skills, providing education and training for staff within nursing homes and residential facilities around dysphagia management and IDDSI standards.
About the RoleThis position is classified as either AHP1 or AHP2, depending on qualifications and experience. Applicants must hold a recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
We offer a competitive salary package, including $34.49 - $42.10 per hour + 25% casual loading for AHP1, or $44.45 - $51.49 per hour + 25% casual loading for AHP2.
