Speech Pathologist Casual Position

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team within the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN). As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical services to adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties, utilizing a variety of therapy modes including 1:1, groups, telehealth, and consultative services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver client-centred care using a multi-disciplinary model, working predominantly with adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating speech, language, and fluency goals, as well as supporting clients to access Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to meet their communication needs.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary feeding team to address the health and medical needs of children aged 0 to 18 years, with a focus on paediatric feeding.
- Work with adults to develop dysphagia management and adult communication (speech, language, and voice) skills, providing education and training for staff within nursing homes and residential facilities around dysphagia management and IDDSI standards.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold a recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia. For self-regulated professions, it is desirable to participate in the professional association accredited CPD program.
