About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist to join our Paediatric Chronic Pain Team at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to children and their families.

This challenging yet rewarding role involves working closely with children and their families to develop and implement effective psychological interventions that promote their health, well-being, and quality of life. You will draw on your expertise in child psychology to assess, diagnose, and treat complex emotional, behavioral, and cognitive difficulties.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children with chronic pain
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to inform treatment decisions
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD or equivalent qualification in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in child psychology or a related field
  • Experience working with children and families with chronic pain or mental health issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
