Expert Psychologist for Chronic Pain Management

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Psychologist to join our team in the Women's and Children's Health Network. This is a full-time temporary position for 12 months, providing a unique opportunity to lead the development of high-quality psychological and therapeutic services for children managing chronic pain.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying national and state health reforms, service quality, and workforce development initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders, collaborating on inter-professional initiatives and consulting on complex clinical cases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the application of national and state health reforms, service quality, and workforce development initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on inter-professional initiatives and consult on complex clinical cases.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement high-quality psychological and therapeutic services for children managing chronic pain.
- Manage a complex clinical case load, while also providing clinical supervision and support to AHP3 Senior Psychologists, other Psychologists, and designated staff.
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia within an Endorsed Area of Practice – Clinical/Health.
- Holding approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).
- Extensive experience in clinical leadership and facilitation of service planning to ensure clinical best practice underpins the development of psychology services.
- Extensive clinical experience in collaborative development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of planned interventions for infants, children, young people, and their families who manage chronic pain.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary methods, principles, practices, and skills across the continuum of care in child and adolescent mental health inpatient and community settings and how these approaches assist chronic pain rehabilitation.

What We Offer- Salary package: $114,314 to $124,449 per annum.
- Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
