Technical Support Specialist for Japan

Intralox is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Japan. As a member of our Technical Support Group, you will provide first-line technical support to Japanese customers and internal departments. Your expertise will be utilized to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, as well as provide product recommendations and technical evaluations of conveyor systems. This role is based in Melbourne, and near-native Japanese language skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Make industry-specific product recommendations.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of conveyor systems.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Create and present technical presentations via webcast or other remote technology.
  • Analyze conveyor design and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide technical training for other employees.
  • Research and locate technical data.
  • Create Bill of Materials for projects.

Qualifications
  • Near-native Japanese and fluent English speaker.
  • College or University degree in a technical field, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years' experience in an industrial sales/support or industrial equipment specification role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to conceptualize and articulate mechanical concepts.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficient with MS Office Applications and both 2D and 3D CAD.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/issues at one time.
  • Service-minded, team-player, self-managed mentality with a sense of ownership.
