Job Title: Director of Transportation Programs

About the Role:

This leadership position is responsible for driving the strategy and delivery of program management services to clients across the transportation business group.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a vision for growth in program management services.
  • Implement and refine HDR's program management processes and systems.
  • Coordinate staffing on relevant projects/programs within transportation TBG.
  • Oversight of large programs, including lead or principal in charge when required.
  • Assist strategic and tactical pursuits for large programs.
  • Serve as the program management business class director; develop and mentor staff in related fields.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management/science or equivalent.
  • 20+ years of experience with a strong background in leading transportation projects.
  • Proven experience as a program manager on large delivery programs.
  • Experience leading and managing PM staff; comfortable with substantial travel.
  • Strong leadership skills in multi-tasking, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading and managing large transportation programs and possess a demonstrated ability as a program builder and mentor. Strong business development, presentation, and client advisory skills are essential.
