Emergency Department Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administration Officer to join our Emergency Department on a Casual basis. This role will play a key part in ensuring our patients have a positive experience during their care.
As an Administration Officer, you will be responsible for greeting all customers, handling enquiries with a friendly and professional manner, answering and redirecting calls, preparing admission paperwork, performing Health Fund Checks as required, managing the collection of Emergency Department deposits, Health fund Excess/co-payments and out of pocket fees, coordinating with staff from other departments, maintaining accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records, experience in an acute patient-focused Healthcare facility/Hospital, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, works well independently and within a team, experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), flexible to work a variety of shifts - 7-day rotating rosters, WebPas Hospital system experience desired.
