
Hybrid Legal Secretary and Paralegal

This role provides an exciting opportunity to work as a paralegal assistant in a personal injury litigation firm. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting solicitors with various tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and managing files.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures and excellent communication skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and able to work autonomously. The ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues is also essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting solicitors with drafting and formatting legal documents
- Conducting research on various topics, including medical records and expert reports
- Managing files, including organizing and maintaining electronic and paper-based documentation
- Coordinating appointments and meetings with clients and experts
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- IT savvy with good technical skills

Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with clients, lawyers and barristers via email and telephone
- Arranging appointments and managing diaries
- Drafting and formatting of legal documents and correspondence
- Identifying relevant issues in documentation
- Reviewing and analysing documents (medical records, expert reports, liability documents, etc)
- Preparing briefs to counsel and experts
- General secretarial and administrative tasks as required
