About This Role
">This role offers the opportunity to develop a career in midwifery and gain hands-on experience while being supported every step of the way.
You will work closely with experienced professionals at site, state, and national levels, and have access to paid study days, peer networking, and mentorship opportunities.
The 12-month graduate program is designed to help early career nurses and midwives transition into independent practice and enhance their clinical skills. You will have ongoing employment contract, supernumerary time as you ease into independent clinical practice, and the flexibility to prioritize your well-being with annual leave during your first rotation.
Key Responsibilities">As a graduate registered midwife, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
- Participating in education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- Completion of a nursing or midwifery course within the last six months or expected completion at least one month before starting
- A minimum of 30 hours/week availability for a rotating roster including AM, PM, night, weekends, and public holidays
