We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to oversee our laboratory team in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rally and inspire the laboratory team to provide excellent service ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ensure a safe working environment and embed quality into all processes, activities, and outputs of the laboratory
  • Develop team members by identifying coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities
  • Organise and monitor workflow and throughput of the laboratory to ensure timely outcomes
  • Standardise processes and procedures within and across laboratories and departments, and review for continuous improvement

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and implementing safety initiatives
  • Ensuring safety is at the forefront of every decision and action
  • Utilising change management processes as required and monitoring outcomes for effectiveness
  • Coaching and mentoring direct reports
  • Effectively communicating across departments and other sections
  • Building effective relationships with direct reports through regular meetings and performance reviews
  • Managing resources within your area, including staff utilisation, equipment uptime, and preventative maintenance
  • Providing timely and appropriate support to customers
  • Contributing to company targets for quality, environment, and sustainability
  • Using quality systems to ensure processes are within control and support continuous improvement
