We are seeking highly skilled professionals to fill Commercial Manager positions in Canberra. As part of a strategic workforce partnership, you will support two critical system program offices within the JC4S Branch.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Author and review complex procurement documentation using the ASDEFCON suite that complies with relevant legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide commercial advice on commercially sensitive reports, submissions, and other documents as required.
- Analyse, identify, and develop mitigation strategies for risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance, and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Translate and apply legal principles, legislative, and policy compliance obligations, commercial risk, and performance requirements related to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have strong knowledge and application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, commercial principles, and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting within Defence or the Commonwealth.
- Key Requirements:
- Experience working within a commercial team in a complex environment to deliver outcomes on time and to a high level of quality.
- Expertise to support complex procurement activities including development of solicitation documentation (statements of work and statements of requirement) and the review and evaluation of responses to market approaches.
- An understanding of the Foreign Military Sales process and the comparative benefits, risk, limitations, and constraints of this commercial approach.
- Experience developing contracting correspondence including complex, commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals, and other documents as required.
