The Role Summary
The Team Leader will ensure the Dementia Support service is tailored to individual clients' needs and delivers on its key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team across multiple locations with a focus on the DSA Program, in accordance with policies, procedures, and organisational values.
- Develop a culture of empowerment, mentorship, and support to designated team members, ensuring their wellbeing and safety are considered.
- Oversight of individual and team performance to ensure high-quality DSA Service Delivery operates within the case management framework, reducing the impact of behaviours on people living with dementia, their carers, and staff.
- Collaborate with other Team Leaders to meet the needs of the broader DSA Program and contribute to solving program deliverables.
- Contribute to ensuring the DSA Program meets administrative, financial, risk, quality, and reporting goals across the program's KPIs.
- Provide direct consultation and support to clients as required;
- Ensuring timely allocation of incoming referrals to the appropriate DSA staff member in alignment with DSA KPIs.
- Provide regular reporting to the Regional Manager on staff performance, service quality, operational performance, and issues.
- Recruit staff with relevant skills for the DSA Program.
- Effectively manage customer complaints or challenging situations, notifying the Regional Manager or National Program Manager as needed.
- Work with the Regional Manager to address incidents and feedback relating to the quality of the DSA Service.
- Improve knowledge and skills as part of the Learning and Dementia Centre team.
- Partner with other Team Leaders to maintain a safe DC office environment, including routine maintenance and functioning equipment and ICT.
- Partner with other Team Leaders to oversee local use and maintenance of DC fleet vehicles, including utilisation, electronic tracking, and reporting.
- Responsible for delegated approvals for brokerage and travel, in line with financial delegation and policy.

- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health, or a health-related degree.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in supporting older people and carers living with dementia, with emphasis on psycho-social approaches to case management.
- Able to manage and support a team of professionals across multiple sites and locations.
- Able to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good customer management skills for delivering services to external customers.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel intra and interstate.
