This role involves regular visits to provide companionship, engaging conversation, and shared enjoyment of hobbies with our clients who love gardening, fishing, and spending time watching native wildlife.
You will have the opportunity to share stories and hobbies with someone who appreciates them too. Our client values the outdoors and would love the company of someone who shares these interests or is happy to simply chat over a cup of tea.
Your Impact:
Volunteering as a community companion can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.
Key Qualities We're Looking For:
We're seeking individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others. You should be comfortable chatting about various topics, including gardening, fishing, and furry friends. A police check will be arranged and paid for.
Scheduling:
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visits between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, which could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
