About the role
We currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion Carer who enjoys gaming to join our team in …. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.
- Providing support with academic, social, or recreational activities.
- Preparing food if needed.
- Observing, caring for, and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
- Responding to emergency situations.
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
