Product Development Role OverviewThis position focuses on the technical side of product development, including creating accurate tech packs, managing product data, and coordinating with international sourcing teams to deliver high-quality headwear and apparel.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development process across multiple sporting leagues, both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed tech packs in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for prototypes, sales samples, and bulk production.
  • Review digital and physical samples, making corrections in collaboration with sourcing teams.
  • Coordinate product approvals with teams and license holders, ensuring all designs meet strict league guidelines.
  • Manage product data across PLM and tracking systems, ensuring descriptions, colourways, materials, and delivery months are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate daily with our Hong Kong sourcing team to resolve spec issues and maintain timelines.
  • Track progress against the Time & Action Calendar (TAC) and update boards to keep stakeholders aligned and deadlines met.
  • Support proto reviews, ranging sessions, and ensure smooth handover to production teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in product development and/or production (headwear, apparel, accessories, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Australian and/or international sporting teams is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience using PLM systems.
  • Technical knowledge of construction, fabrics, trims, and applications.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when creating tech packs and managing data.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused communicator.
