We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Support Worker.
This position involves providing support to individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions, ensuring their daily needs are met and promoting independence.
- Support workers will be responsible for assisting participants with personal care, medications, and hygiene, as well as developing their independent living and life skills.
- The role also involves supporting development of community access and household tasks such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
- Implementing support plans that include strategies for challenging behaviors is a crucial aspect of this position.
- Support workers will provide care in participants' homes or within our group settings.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability/Individual Support (or currently studying).
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle are necessary.
- No less than 6 months of experience in mental health, autism, or disability support.
- A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) are required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are highly valued.
